Funerals
Planning a funeral can feel utterly overwhelming, this is most likely your first contact with the funeral world and you are in the midst of significant emotional trauma. I am here to help you, to create a safe and trusting space to say your farewells.

Why me?

I want to support you and your loved ones to navigate a hugely challenging time.

I want to represent and respect your loved one who has died and create something unique and special that will help you on your grief journey and create special memories that one day you can look back on fondly.

I want to create a safe and trusting space to enable you to grieve as you say your final farewells and be there to catch you if your emotions overwhelm.

Working together ...

Working well together is key to creating a ceremony worthy of your loved one.  Here is a short guide as to what you can expect from working with me.

First contact - usually this will be a telephone call, to introduce myself and confirm some basic details.  We will arrange a suitable date, time and place to have a face to face meeting.  This call is often fairly short and a gentle touch point.  I will then send through a questionnaire, or guide to help you understand what I will need to know and the sort of questions I will need answered

Family consultation - ideally in person or via Zoom, this is all about getting to know each other and for me to learn all about your loved one that has died and what you would like the ceremony to be.  We will discuss all aspects of the ceremony including those that would like to speak or read, types of reading, music, any faiths or beliefs and any additional elements that you would like included.

Follow up communication – this will include contacting all the relevant parties including keeping the funeral director (if you are using one) up to date

Funeral script – this can be tweaked and adapted as many times as necessary – its all about getting it right!

On the day of the Funeral- I will arrive at the venue at least half an hour before the service to ensure everything is in place and ready and be there to greet you.    I will then lead the service as planned.

After the funeral – I will follow up with you and also provide you with a full copy of the funeral script.

Locations and costs

I am based in Winchester, Hampshire.

I work across Hampshire and the border of the surrounding counties of Berkshire, Surrey, Dorset and Wiltshire.   I am also happy to travel further afield, including the Isle of Wight, but additional travel costs would be incurred.

If you are using a funeral director, my fee will be paid through them.  If you are looking to work with me directly, then do get in touch and I can provide you with a quote.

As a guide, my fees range from £250 depending on the type of service.
