About Me
Choosing a celebrant that is right for you and your loved one is so important, so here is a little more about me to help you make that decision

My life so far ...

I grew up in the beautiful town of Lymington, Hampshire and had an idyllic childhood with my big sister climbing trees, swimming in the sea, causing havoc (me, not my sister!) and making mud pies!

Growing up I was incredibly focused on a career in the hospitality industry and proceeded to achieve this, primarily running weddings and events in luxury country house hotels, a job I loved and have many happy memories from.  However, life had different plans for me, or several as I have discovered!

After travelling the world and having a life changing experience volunteering for a youth development charity in Namibia, charities, fundraising specifically, were my new destiny.

For 20 years, I have worked in a variety of health charities, including adult and children hospices, hospital charities and medical research charities.  Each being hugely rewarding and humbling.  Through my fundraising and volunteering work, I uncovered my key motivations being supporting people especially when experiencing great sorrow and the fundamental need to always make people feel as comfortable and as relaxed as possible in any given situation.

And so, here we find me, a certified family celebrant, trained with The Academy of Modern Celebrancy. I truly believe that everything in my life to date has bought me to this place, one that enables me to embrace my passion for supporting people, creating comfortable and supportive spaces with my love of public speaking and creative storytelling.  I love nothing more that hearing about the lives of wonderful people and creating the narrative to their story to share. We are all unique and have a special story to tell.

Outside of the work, both a fundraiser for a children and young adult hospice and being a celebrant, I live in Winchester and can be found running about after my two small (ish) children and probably driving my husband slightly mad!  Volunteering for a variety of charities to support the community I live within, or swimming in a freezing cold river in the middle of winter!
