About Me
Choosing a celebrant that is right for you and your loved one is so important, so here is a little more about me to help you make that decision

My life so far ...

I grew up in the beautiful town of Lymington, Hampshire, and had an idyllic childhood with my big sister—climbing trees, swimming in the sea, causing havoc (mostly me, not my sister!), and making mud pies.

From an early age, I was focused on a career in the hospitality industry, which I pursued with passion, primarily running weddings and events in luxury country house hotels. It was a job I loved, filled with happy. if not exhausting memories! However, life had other plans for me—or rather, several other plans, as I’ve discovered!

After travelling the world and having a life-changing experience volunteering for a youth development charity in Namibia, I discovered my true calling: supporting people through some of life’s most important and emotional moments.

For the past 20 years, I have worked with a variety of health charities, including adult and children’s hospices, hospital charities, and medical research organisations. This work taught me the importance of compassion, sensitivity, and making people feel truly at ease. These qualities now guide me in my role as a celebrant, whether I’m helping families honour the life of a loved one, celebrating the start of a marriage, or welcoming a child into the world. I love creating personalised ceremonies that reflect the uniqueness of each person or family, weaving together stories, memories, and meaningful moments into something truly special.

This journey has led me to where I am today, a certified family celebrant, trained with The Academy of Modern Celebrancy. I truly believe that every step of my life has brought me to this place, where I can combine my passion for supporting people, creating safe and welcoming spaces, public speaking, and creative storytelling. Everyone has a story worth celebrating, and it is a privilege to help share it.

Outside of work, as a celebrant and fundraising consultant, I live in Winchester, running around after my two children and probably driving my husband slightly mad! I also volunteer for various local charities and, when the mood strikes, can often be found swimming in a freezing cold river in the middle of winter
